In 1983, Dan and Ken planned a restaurant that would use only the best ingredients and the time-tested "Low and Slow" philosophy, bringing amazing BBQ to Monroe and all of Northeast Louisiana.

We start early at the break of day, Monday through Saturday, when our team begins preparing scratch-made sides and sauces, baking bread, cutting potatoes, and cooking our ribs and meats Low and Slow.

Come as you are! Danken Trail is a casual barbecue joint with enough seating for the whole family.  Dine in or grab it to go, or call on us to cater your event of any size.

After filling up your tank, come inside for a delicious, home-cooked meal. The Goodwill General Store is a country store (selling basic goods and groceries), restaurant and gas station that has become a local favorite. 

The lake, the people, the south - that's what we love about Lake Providence, Louisiana, and also why we opened our restaurant, The Dock. We loved the idea of eating great seafood with good friends while watching the sunset over our magnificent lake. If you're the type that would rather enjoy the air conditioning, come and sit in our enclosed patio and bask in the view. Our menu consists of local favorites such as alligator, shrimp, boudin, catfish, crawfish, and steaks.
